NBP0901 ship tracks

Description

The Nathaniel B. Palmer (NBP) 0901 cruise was part of the IPY/ASEP - Collaborative International Research: Amundsen Sea Influence on West Antarctic Ice Sheet Stability and Sea Level Rise project.

The cruise departed from Punta Arenas, Chile on 7th January 2009 and returned to Punta Arenas, Chile on 25thth February 2009.

The cruise investigated the primary influences on phytoplankton distribution in the Ross Sea as well as sea ice interaction in the Pacific centre of the Antarctic Dipole.
