JR084 ship tracks

Description

The RRS James Clark Ross cruise JR084 was part of the NERC thematic programme: Autosub Under Ice (AUI). It was the first cruise of the programme and was to the Pine Island Bay region of Antarctica.

The cruise departed from Port Stanley, Falkland Islands on 3rd February 2005 and birthed back at Port Stanley (FIPASS) on 11th March 2005.

The programme’s aim was to study the marine environment of floating ice shelves using a combination of Autosub missions and conventional ship-based measurements.
