ANA06B ship tracks - 2016

Description

ANA-06B daily cruise tracks between 06-01-2016 and 22-02-2016 .

In order to monitor the temporal and spatial variation of circumpolar deep water (CDW) and its effect on the rapid melting of glaciers in the Amundsen Sea, an extensive oceanographic survey was conducted during the 2016 Amundsen Sea cruise (ANA06B) by IBRV Araon.

The moorings that were deployed from RRS James Clark Ross cruise JR20140126 in February 2014 were recovered on RV Araon cruise ANA06B in February 2016.

Data provided by Povl Abrahamsen, British Antarctic Survey.
